  1. Three RagaMuffins later, 4 years later, 1 RagaMuffin of the Year, 2 fantastic friends :) I am hooked and so in love with the breed. If you thinking of getting a RagaMuffin I highly recommend Chris & Allen. They are such lovely people and they are so passionate about the Muffin and most of all they care and are there for you before, during and after.

  2. Hi, I saw my first RagaMuffin when I was 'manning' the Exotic Shorthair Cat Club stall at a show at Godmanchester. The breed is absolutely beautiful. . I have just received the GCCF results and see that your boy was Best in Show, at the Kentish many congratulations, he's stunning. Good luck in the future with your beautiful breed, if you're going to the Supreme here's wishing you a successful and happy day for you and your cats. Sincerely, Pat. [p.s. I love Polaris. so beautiful]

  3. .... so we've had our boys Chewie and Louie for 5 months now. They settled in very quickly after a 4 hour drive home when I collected them from Chris and Allen. We could have had them 3 weeks earlier but as we were going on holiday Chris was more than happy to keep them for us as I didn't want to put them in a cattery. They also allowed me to come and see them when they were just a few weeks old, which I am absolutely grateful for.
It's Christmas now and we're having fun with tree baubles!!! And chasing each other from the top to the bottom of the house, it's hysterical.
Chewie is huge and Louie is the most affectionate cat I've ever seen. We adore having them in our home.
Chris and Allen have been wonderful, so accommodating and patient, as I sent quite a few emails before during and after we had the boys with us.
It's been such a great experience and I'd love to have another 2 Ragamuffins in a year or two.
    Many thanks for everything

  4. Our Ragamffin boy "Jimmy Choo" is now 1 year old. Just wanted to thank you Chris for letting this most handsome boy come and share our home. We also have Tibetan Spaniels and it's just amazing how well they play together. Jimmy Choo can often be found cuddling up in a bed with one of them. We run a Cattery and when the weather is good Jimmy Choo is in the outside run with our other two cats Paco and Miss Dior (Australian Mists) , my customers who come daily will often stop and have a cuddle with him. I've been running my Cattery nearly 14 years and I don't think I've ever come across such a delightful loving companion. Would highly recommend this breed.

  5. 5 months ago I was given the contact details of Cheham RagaMuffins Chris and Allen based in Surrey I had been thinking of getting a kitten after the sudden and traumatic loss of my cat Cerys of 9 years! When I rang Chris to discuss the possibility of owning one of their kittens in August/ September of this year I was in luck as litters were due in May and would be able to be rehomed in late August at 13 weeks old. Chris was so supportive about my recent loss and fully understood how I was feeling, I'm not sure if she knows but her support and advice put me on the road to recovery for which I will be eternally grateful! We decided to keep in touch with the hope that we would own a kitten from the pending litter. I contacted Chris weekly and was informed when the litter was born 8 kittens!!! I was given additional information on the breed what type of home the kittens would thrive in dietary advice and so much more. Chris and Allen do a fantastic job breeding such sociable and loving kittens, we visited and sae our kitten Willow with all of her siblings and Mum Cherry what relationships they all had with each other totally down to the excellent care and breeding given by Chris and Allen.
We are pleased to say we are now the proud owners of Cheham Princess Willow she is adorable and loving and loves contact and playing with us! Within 24 hours she was eating and drinking well and using her litter tray, she has brought back to our home the warmth and love only a cat can bring we are so lucky.
We can not thank or recommend Chris and Allen Cheham RagaMuffins enough, we consider them our friends and will always stay in contact they go over and above by making themselves available for advice 24/7 and the pack we received when we brought Willow home has been invaluable.
We can not thank you both enough for our little Princess and would recommend you to everyone considering owning a RagaMuffin a fabulous breed!
We wish you continued success in the future

  6. When we first started looking for a kitten, we were aware we had quite a few big 'asks'. We needed a kitten that would be confident enough to move into a house with a toddler, large dog, and an adult cat known for being a bit grumpy at best.

Within a couple of days, our ragamuffin had exceeded these requirements in a way that we could never have expected. She had become firm friends with our dog, shown herself not to be fussed by our toddlers exuberant take on cat games, and even had our Burmese playing alongside her and eating out of the same bowl. It's only early days but I couldn't imagine live without her.

I would also like to thank Chris for the regular updates we received before we took her home. We loved hearing about Orla's progress and the photographs made the weeks go that little bit quicker

  7. Hi Chris,

Millie and Marley have settled so well, we really couldn't imagine being without them now! Family and friends have commented on their amazing personalities and gorgeous coats.
They are so friendly and regularly follow me around the house, even when I'm in the bath!

We really do need to thank you for all your support, you have always been there to answer any questions especially on my visit. You can tell that you really care about the cats and want to ensure they go to good homes. We couldn't be happier and Millie and Marley are definitely part of the family!

    Best wishes

  8. Just to let you know how Tilly is, she is growing really quick and is very speedy now during her mad half hour. My children are just bowled over by her.

On the plus side my youngest who has been diagnosed with high anxiety and OCD is showing a dramatic improvement, and will do things for Tilly that he hasn't been able to do for over a year.

She really is an important member of our family. To use Callum's words "she has made our family complete. I have never been so happy and my life is great". Amazing considering just 5 months ago he was in the doctors in floods of tears because he was so unhappy, long may it continue.

  9. Hi Chris,

It has been a week to the day since we have had our adorable kitten Bluebelle. She has really settled in great. She purrs all the time, eats at the times you suggested, uses her litter tray and loves playing. My children love her and Bluebelle is extremely happy playing with them. Just this morning my 4 year old daughter was playing vets with her and Bluebelle was very happy lying there having lots of checks done!

I have to say a BIG THANK YOU to you for helping her become the confident playful little kitten that she is. I could not recommend you enough. Her settling in made it all so much easier with you already teaching her how to use the litter tray and scratch post. Bluebelle loves climbing up her cat tree and looking out the window and then having a relaxing snooze on her radiator bed.

I will definitely stay in contact with you and send you photos as she gets older and it is so reassuring to know that you will always be there to answer any future questions I might have. Thank you for sending us photos and answering all my questions I had before we even brought Bluebelle home. You truly are a fantastic Ragamuffin cat breeder.

    THANK YOU xx

  10. Hi there,
My name is Dianne and I live in Australia. P
I have been researching the possibility of becoming a Breeder of Ragamuffin Cats in the near future when I came across your site.
The photos of your babies are absolutely gorgeous and the comments from those who have been blessed with adopting your off-spring have prompted me to consider asking ....Are your kittens available for overseas adoption?
I would love to remain in contact with you as I have questions that I would love to ask you both about the breed in general and about adoption or your recommendation on other possibilities.
I look forward to hearing from you soon and learning more about this wonderful breed.
    Cheers

  11. In December 2013 we were lucky enough to complete our home with brother and sister Harvey Bear and Cleopatra Cuddles, now affectionately known as “The Dinkies”.

Harvey and Cleo are just purrfect! They bring us such joy and happiness and make us laugh every day….everyone who meets them can’t help but fall in love with them! Harvey bounds into everything head-first, wants constant cuddles and to be the centre of attention and meows away to anyone who will listen (whether they like it or not!). Cleo is the pretty girl – always grooming herself (and Harvey when she can pin him down!) and sweeping around the lounge with her huuuuge tail. She is so affectionate, loving to nibble noses and ears and has the loudest of purrs! Harvey and Cleo are the best of friends, and we get so much pleasure watching them chasing each other around the house or snoozing together, usually managing to take up the entire length of the sofa!

From the moment I first contacted Chris about the possibility of welcoming two RagaMuffins to our home she could not have been more wonderful, helpful and kind with regular updates and pictures and so much help and advice…and since they came to live with us she has always been so caring, answering any queries and putting our minds at rest on many an occasion!

Thank you so much to Chris and Allen for bringing up such happy, playful, beautiful kittens…and letting them become our owners!

    Love

    Victoria xxxx

  12. I just wanted to add to the many wonderful comments I have read. I haven't gotten my babies yet…but hopefully I will by May.
Like many other people I researched this company and many others throughly, But I kept coming back to this sight, I also called another breeder who was much further away and they also told me that Chris was one of the best and most reputable breeders (I dislike that word)
I got in contact with her and she was absolutely wonderful and has kept in touch with me as promised.
I could tell instantly that it wasn't about the money..she cares where her babies go.
Thank you Chris and I can't wait to bring home my muffins! xox

  13. I have Known Chris & Allen For many years and I cannot recommend them highly enough.Really lovely website. You and Allen have always shown so much dedication, love and support to anyone either enquiring about your gorgeous cats or actually purchasing a kitten from you, also your support and care for that kitten goes well beyond the kitten being taken to its new home, you always remain on hand to offer help and support, you have always been the person, I have turned to in the past, regarding Ragdolls and I would look no further than you, if I was to want to purchase a Raggamuffin...And when I keep seeing the gorgeous photo's, we are becoming very tempted.Wishing you continuing success with Cheham Raggamuffins in Breeding and on the Showbench xx

  14. I can only say a huge thank you for our beautiful RagaMuffin kitten, Max. He has settled in beautifully and is the most adorable and loving kitten we have ever had.
We had researched the breed fully and contacted a lot of breeders in our search for the right kitten. We are so pleased that we decided to get from you at Cheham. Not only did you make us so welcome but your cats and kittens are truly amazing. Your care and passion for the breed is second to none and your knowledge of the breed simply the best. The Cheham prefix is so well known and respected we are proud to have added an offspring to our family
    Thanks so much.

  16. Hi Chris
When I first contacted you it was at a time of deep despair after having lost my best friend Max (Miniature Schnauzer) at age 15,I had him from the tender age of only 15 myself and had grown with him all through my adult life and was desperately missing the companionship of an animal. Not feeling I could replace him with another dog I sort out this apparently loving, cuddly teddy bear of the cat world!! Well what can I say from the moment I walked into the room I was in love with all your cats, both the adults and kittens! My 2 boys most defiantly picked me and I have never looked back. Both Monty and Jasper are adorable loving and affectionate boys who's antics entertain us for hours. And wow are they handsome! THANK- YOU for bringing soul back to my home and my soul back to life. I honestly couldn't recommend the breed enough and your care, passion, advice and perfect rearing of the muffins is second to none. Thank-u.

I own little Mo's mother (Encore Cats Madge) and she is my baby, she came to me as because no fault of her own she had to be rehomed.

She really is a loving cat and I love seeing how her babies are having beautiful babies.

  36. Hi Christine,

Just wanted to drop you a note to say a huge thank you for kindness, support and friendship as we embarked on having our very first Ragamuffin Kittens. You took time to offer us lots of advice, kept us up to date with photos and progress in the first few weeks leading up to our visit and we are now all absolutely thrilled with our two boys, Mumbles and Mittens, who are very beautiful, affectionate and playful.

We are delighted to become members of the UKRMCS and would recommend both the breed and yourselves to anybody thinking of embarking on the same journey as us.

    Kind regards,
